IMACFORD is an Accompanying Measure submitted to the Commission by EFI. It includes two subtasks, each coordinated by a Regional Project Center (RPC). One of the subtasks is coordinated by the Institut Européen de la Forêt Cultivée (IEFC), and the other by the Centre Tecnològic Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC) on behalf of the MEDFOREX network.

The aim of the MEDFOREX related subtask is to (a) improve the research coordination at both interdisciplinary and research -end user level, (b) to provide a platform for dialogue with a wide variety of end users through which to identify research needs, and (c) to elaborate a framework for research programmes with better interdisciplinary integration and more end user oriented. Altogether, within the MEDFOREX theme and with the 6th Framework Program in mind. For more details, see the general technical annex and the list of meetings.
